What is 'Business Delivery'?

This is a free*† service we offer to local businesses. We will deliver your goods as a preferred supplier.

How will my business benefit?

We can pick† and deliver your goods at no cost to you. Your goods will be delivered in perfect condition and you won't even have to leave your premises.

What do I do next?

Registering for a Business Delivery account is easy. Using the links on the right, print out and fill in the application form, the direct debit form and company form most relevant to your business. Sign the relevent documentation and send it back to the following address:

Once your account is open, you can start using the service. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Select

Either visit the store to make your selection or let us pick them for you. We will then deliver your goods at a time that suits you.

2. Pay

Pay for the goods using your Somerfield Business Account Card. Once your account is set up, we can process your transaction automatically.

3. Deliver

We deliver your goods packed and fresh in our refrigerated van at the time you've chosen - from Monday to Saturday, directly to your business.

Business Delivery terms and conditions

*Delivery is free when you spend £25** or more in one transaction and live within the designated postcode area. If you spend less than £25 there is a delivery charge of £3. If you live outside the designated postcode area, the store manager may agree to deliver to you for a charge of pound;5.

**Cigarettes and tobacco are excluded from the £25 minimum spend limit, but can be delivered on request.

†The store can pick the goods for the client for a charge of £5.00.

Products excluded from delivery:- gift vouchers, savings stamps, postage stamps, fireworks and sparklers, lottery tickets and scratchcards, top-ups to utility meter keys, rotisserie and other hot food, purchases from vending machines and purchases of fuel, oil and other motoring services.

Proof of identity may be requested on delivery. Signature on receipt will be proof of delivery. Claims for damaged or missing goods must be made to the stores within 24 hours of delivery. As part of our responsibilities to you and the community we regret that we are unable to make deliveries where there is, or appears to be, no one aged 18 or over to accept them. If no one is in, or no one appears to be 18 years or over at the delivery address when the delivery is attempted, the goods will be returned to the store and redelivery will be arranged. We reserve the right to charge customers for redelivery (maximum of pound;5). We regret that the home delivery service may be temporarily unavailable for reasons beyond our control and in the event in-store communication will advise customers that the service is not operational.
